This book was so frustrating, and I don't really think I liked anybody in it, but it ended up being a pretty fun read. A lot happens, and you get so mad at so many people throughout the story (including your main love interest) that I couldn't help but stay engaged.

going to be upfront with this: I picked this book up because "gay boyband romance" sounded like the funniest thing in the world. I thought it would be stupid and cheesy, and something I could laugh at with my friends. (not in a homophobic way, mind you, a "I think romance in general is stupid and cheesy" way.)

and honestly... I got more invested than I expected. not in the romance itself, though. I was really there for 1.) Angel, who I loved at the start based only on vibes, kinda hated near the middle, and loved again by the end because his arc was EXCELLENT and 2.) the media drama. yes, you could say that's because of the romance, but it was more so about fighting against the overwhelming control of the agency, which just so happened to involve Zach and Rueben's romance. I dunno.

the book definitely drags, especially near the middle, but after Angel's Accident things get a lot more fun. don't think I'll ever read it again, though.
