Hát, ez nagyon cuki volt! Nyilván nekem is van tippem, hogy kik inspirálhatták a könyvet (khm), mindenesetre nagyon tetszett, hogy több különböző, helyenként elég durva és érzékeny témát is bedobtak a szerzők, és mindet szépen megoldották és lezárták. Mást nem is akarok írni róla, kedves volt!
tenho certeza absoluta que meu maior erro com esse livro foi achar que eu ia gostar demais dele por ser um conceito que já conheço muito bem. esse, na verdade, foi o maior problema. por já estar muito familiarizada com essa narrativa, todo o esforço de fica entre nós de tentar contar um romance secreto dentro de uma boyband acabou sendo falho, e pra mim uma das maiores falhas foi o foco extenso na banda. talvez tenha sido um erro de marketing em focar demais no romance, quando o livro conta muito mais sobre como é fazer parte de uma banda super mega famosa, a vida de pop star. eu acho que, com certeza, o tópico geral desse livro sobre repressão midiatica a pessoas queers no mundo pop é MUITO importante e tem que ser debatido de todas as formas possíveis e impossíveis. o ponto é que eu realmente não vejo que esse livro fez isso de uma forma palatável. os diálogos, os personagens principais, a construção de narrativa, tudo completamente me removeu da história de pouco a pouco. sim, os personagens passam por problemas que eu entendo intrinsecamente, inclusive ansiedade, mas mesmo assim cansei de achar chato, repetitivo, monótono e acabou completamente com o ritmo do livro. no fim das contas, acho que o jeito que esse livro foi escrito realmente não é pra mim, talvez eu nem seja o demográfico dele, mas tem uma mensagem muito relevante, que na minha cabeça teria 50 milhões de jeitos de ter sido desenvolvido de uma maneira bem melhor.
I enjoyed this book. Though the pacing was a little weird and I felt the characters to fall a bit flat at times. Overal the story worked well and I liked the characters and their relationship. The commentary on the entertainment industry both did and did not work. Especially in regards to how the characters reacted to their fans. It felt like they were not allowed to hold negative opinions about them or their fame without immediately saying something positive. I do like how it didn't shy away from the rambant abuse, in their different forms, in the industry.
This book isn't for me. Feels like there is no plot, not much is happening.

being honest, i’m not sure why i didn’t DNF this the moment i clocked it was larry fanfiction. i really should have. very little chemistry and the plot was very simple. i have read shorter m/m romances that are more developed.
