I need to stop getting lines from books on bookstagram while trying to get through my TBR. I started this. Ok and couldn’t stop. It was good. The main character did get on my nerves a bit (especially with the thing in the restaurant. No bro, he didn’t go in there for wedges) I saw that coming from a mile away and was disappointed she fell for it. The camping part had me laughing out loud because it was hilarious. But overall, it was a great book!

I've wondered for ages if this series is as good as everyone says, and I have to say, it is good.
I enjoyed this book on the whole, and I very much like Jameson and Emily together when they're communicating well etc. I also very much enjoyed Emily's reaction to the yellow roses (iykyk).
However, there were some bits of this book that weren't my favourite. Like the third act breakup.. not a fan. And words like 'pre-ejaculate' and 'perspiration' being used every time its mentioned made me feel weird because who actually talks like that? No-one.
That's a me thing tho, and I doubt it bothers anyone else.
So yeah. Solid four star read :)

I thought I enjoyed this book, but after starting book #2 of this series (The takeover) I realized I didn't like it as much compared to that one. I feel like it's lots of sex and little plot, I was annoyed that all Emily could talk or think about was Jameson, that was her whole personality and it bothers me that she wasn't written to be more than just a girl falling in love with a guy, she goes to her parents house in one chapter and we don't even get a simple conversation between them. It's a fun read if you enjoy lots of sex scenes but speaking of the sex scenes, I was also annoyed at the fact that they use a lot of weird words for pushy and dice idk
