It was well-written and I enjoyed reading it. I liked the banter and flirting between Jameson and Emily. They totally had good chemistry although I personally had a love-hate feeling for Jameson. Nevertheless, I liked the fluff and the spiciness was fair.

I enjoyed this book overall but only rated 3 stars because of the following reasons:
1. Both Emily and Jameson seriously bothered me and seem so immature and they're constantly fighting. The first half of the book was ok but it got worse in the second half.
At times, I found Emily treated Jameson terribly and he treated her terribly too and if made me quite mad at the characters but I got over it eventually.
2. The final few chapters seemed quite rushed to me, especially the last chapter and could have had an epilogue.
It was good entertainment but I preferred The Casanova - yet to read the The Takeover but I can't wait to read it. I did listen to this book as an Audiobook and found the narrators reasonably good.

Typical Romance - I wouldnt say enemies to lovers but what TL Swan does a lot with one night stand and thenI see you a year later. There was a build up for the conflict and then the conflict wasn't what broke them up - it was the his "im not good enough for you" thing. A lot of spice, again typical for this author. Quick and predictable but filled my need for a fantasy break.

Looks like I’m not the only one who nearly DNF’d about 30-40% through. The conversations or rather arguments and disagreements between MC’s Jameson (mid/late 30’s?) and Emily (mid 20’s) come across immature and juvenile. Neither of them seems to know how to listen or wait for all the info before they through a temper tantrum.
BUT I wanted to see how it all turned out. The two meet by chance on a flight and hook up on a layover. A year later she ends up working for his company unbeknownst to both of them. He’s a big rich CEO. She doesn’t care about money. They go back in forth hating each other and being in love more times than I can count. Can they ever work it out??? I’ll let you find out for yourself.
While the story itself was nice, it’s not anything that hasn’t been told before. Spicy yes but slightly meh with the personalities of the characters.

This book was nothing but a cringefest.
• Emily Foster, the fmc, was childish, immature and gave me second hand embarrassment everytime she couldn't stand up for herself.
• Jamesom/Jim/Jay, the mmc, is a 37 year-old man-child, who has a temper tantrum of a teenager.
• The MCs had nothing except the sexual connection but they called each other their soulmates (yes, I am giving bombastic side eye.)
• They had sex in chapter 2.
• They said “I love you” in chapter 17.
• There was a third-act break-up in chapter 21 because the mmc thinks he's not good enough for fmc and fmc begged him to take her back because she had no backbone but he didn't took her back. (All that money and still no therapy sessions?)
• They made up in chapter 26 and there was no grovelling.
• And this book has 27 chapters + epilogue.
Make of that what you will.
“Goodbye, my beautiful fuck bunny,” he whispers.
I run my fingers through his hair as I stare at his gorgeous face. “Goodbye, Blue Eyes.”
