anything i have to say would probably be more compelling if it didn’t take me 2 months to finish this book. however, the only way i can describe how this book made me feel is warm, so if that is ever a feeling you are chasing, give it a chance.

I didn't mind this style of book! I actually had no idea what the book was about and took me 2 chapters to fully get it, haha.

Some books are plot driven, this is perhaps more character driven. There is no major plot development as each chapter is sort of a short story with new 'clients' in search of their dish that they're hoping to recreate/ find.

Overall on the slower, gentler & subtle side of books.

Spoiler: I thought, from the cover that the cat was
going to be a bigger character. It was not.
