i ended magnolia parks in shock. i ended daisy haites heartbroken.

i loved reading about daisy and christian's relationship but daisy and julian's was just so personal and special.

the mains couple's relationship wasn't as chaotic as in the previous book but i felt these characters had more depth.

they could never make me hate you, daisy haites.

(henry still steals the show)

Daisy's story was not what i was expecting. It reflected Magnolia & Bj in some ways. I quite enjoyed having Julian's perspective as well to prevent it from feeling like reading the first book again (though having soo many scenes from book 1 retold it felt kinda tedious). Not to mention, we are told a lot of information and not shown as much, to be convinced and get a grasp of character motivations.

I will say Daisy did win me over the more I learnt about her however, I can't say the same for Christian. My dislike of him inceased the more I read from his pov. I went from feeling really bad for him in book 1 to thinking how much self awarness he actually lacks. I imagine it will be pretty hard to read books about characters I don't ship.

my fuckin heart!!! it broke for the wrong reason but definitely broke.

Just one thing though, be prepared to read so many damn footnotes you wouldn’t believe u were reading it for fun. however it captured daisys thought process. so i am not mad, u get used to it. JULIAN JULIAN JULIAN.. yes i can officially declare i am a simp for gang lords! this book was a different sort of enjoyment. I related to daisy in many ways, while yes she is flawed but who isnt? I couldnt help but feel sad for her.

In the magnolia parks universe, you have bj & magnolia girlies and you have daisy & christian girlies then you have me……….. a daisy and julian girlie <333

Healing my heart then…on to the next❤️‍

I love to hate this series.

Daisy started off less toxic than Magnolia but in the end I think they’re both toxic in their own ways. She wants to be good but that’s not really the life she was born into. Definitely manipulates those around her. Immature and really doesn’t think through her decisions. But I also couldn’t help but kind of root for her? The ending was wild and I wasn’t the biggest fan but I see why it needed to end like that.

This series is different than anything I’ve ever read and I really can’t decide whether or I love or hate it so I have to keep reading.
