This was full of suspense and kept you guessing even after it ended. Super enjoyable and a bit different than other thrillers. I would definitely recommend reading it!

This is a very good thriller which really has you thinking about what you have read.

Following a tragedy the Moorcrofts leave their home and memories behind to start a new life on a small Scottish island. But memories have a habit of following you no matter how far you try to run.

The author totally drew me in with this story. The twists and turns which kept coming throughout, even right at the end, had me second guessing what I thought was happening.

I have to admit that I guessed the final twist, and what actually happens, just before the author reveals it. But that doesn't take away the fact this is a really well written story which totally drew me in.

I read a lot of books. Some fall short after the initial anticipation. This one was eerie and chilling and kept my attention to the very end. This book wraps up the story, but at the same time it leaves you wondering about what really happened on that final night.

Tremayne did a great job of building uncertainty in this book and leaving me totally in the dark about who was who, who to believe and what was actually happening. Unfortunately, I just didn't care about the characters. Both Angus and Sarah seemed really hollow (which is fair considering they'd just lost a daughter), but it made for characters that I didn't connect to or even sympathize with. I wanted things to turn out for them, but I found myself far more torn apart by something bad happening to the dog than anything else in the book, which is not the ideal situation in a book like this one.

I didn’t see that coming. I had several guesses on where I thought this story was going, though in the end, I was quite off.

It was a good read but nothing fantastic. I feel that is the parents just talked to each other more a lot would have been solved. I feel like Angus should have known better than to let his family isolate themselves on an island. I feel like Sarah jumped to conclusions too quickly. I feel bad for Kirstie/Lydia, how terribly difficult.

A bit over the top, unbelievable, but was a fun read that started slow but by the end you can’t stop.

I loved this book so much and definitely did scare me at some parts.
The mourning for a death of a child (a twin) is completely different from what you would expect. Yes everyone is sad and they cry. The mom takes full responsibility and stuff but the surviving twin takes it out of control. For example, when 'Kirstie' sees her reflection, she is reminded of her dead sister and screams uncontrollably. The creepiest part is when Kirstie claims that she in fact is Lydia and not Kirstie.
This is an overall amazing book that I truly enjoyed

After being sold on the plot line almost immediately, I delved into this book, unable to put it down, clawing at some sort of conclusion for this desperate, fictional family.

Set against the wilds of a remote Scottish Island, The Ice Twins tells of a family desperate to wipe a clean slate and regain a sense of normality in the wake of one of their twin daughter's tragic death. As with all good thrillers, there are subtle and not so subtle twists throughout, secrets revealed and a sense of dread that looms from the opening chapter.

The book is written from two perspectives, the father Angus and mother Sarah, in a most twisted and beautiful way, as the reader you are drawn in to both of their agonising, inner voices that drip feed evidence and perspectives of the death and everything that comes after.

This thriller is beautifully written, with a great sense of scenery and place and two highly conflicted protagonists, whose sides you are constantly switching to. I loved this book, a thoroughly compelling read.

I found this book in a Little Free Library at a nearby park and the description caught my attention. What a page turner! I definitely neglected some of my daily life in order to finish reading it. The writing wasn't always great, but the plot kept me fully engaged until the end.
