Just like the first two books, I enjoyed this one also. There was a mystery element to this one that I really liked. We meet new characters and get introduced to a whole new world. However, at first I felt like Neptune was disconnected from the previous books and that it didn't need to be added in. But later on it made sense to bring up the issue of Half-Breeds in order to get to know more about them and their history. I was also a bit frustrated with Emma and Galen because I feel like there should have been more communication between them. Nonetheless, I really loved the ending. I feel like it was the perfect way to end this series.

So... A little disappointing. There was a huge build up to a mediocre finish. I thought Banks could have done it a lot better. I still feel like there are things unfinished with the series.

Ai ai ai. No bueno. No bueno.

Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating slightly, but I read the first two books a while ago and it seems I've got either more savage since or this book is just... worse.

I loved the entire series. I loved the concept and the execution.

But I don't remember not liking Emma and I just didn't like her in this book. I didn't hate her or anything, but she was completely obtuse. She would catch on to the most obvious of things like ten days after everyone else.

She doesn't tell her mother what's going on in the town despite Galen having been gone for days. The one pet peeve I have is when grown ass adults just don't tell the truth and it ends in deadly ramifications... (I'm looking at you, Pretty Little Liars)

The book was quite fast paced which definitely did it favours. I found myself breezing through it and not worrying about how long I'd been reading for.

I loved the entire concept of this novel. I feel like the last book definitely could have been the end of the story, but I'm honestly glad it wasn't. As much as this didn't make me squeal or jump up and down, it was still a good book.

The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is solely because of Emma just being a complete dunderhead.

Honestly, before I picked up this book, I didn't have very high expectations of it. Since the last one solved the main conflict, I wasn't sure of what could possibly be this one about? Just a new guy trying to steal Emma away?

While I'd have liked the three of them to be more seamlessly connected, I did enjoy this one. Though, I feel it was a little rushed in the end.

After waiting a couple years to finish the series I can happily say I'm satisfied but I can't deny the wish to have more books in the series:,(

Interesting ending to this trilogy, I liked the introduction of the other Syrena. The trilogy is nice to read when you've got nothing to do, but it's not one of those OMG YOU HAVE TO READ THIS trilogies.

Although I would have bought this book based on the beautiful cover alone, I'm glad I chose to go with the ebook because the story was little iffy for me and I didn't enjoy it as much as the two books before it. The ending seemed rushed and conflicts were too quickly resolved for my taste. Everything was such a jumble. I would have loved the series to have just ended with Of Triton.

3.5
I'm actually not happy with this book. I expected a lot more by the end of it. And Emma was making me so mad, I almost threw the book at the door. The best part about this book really was Galen.
