Ok! That ending..Awww! I'm not all too sad that I finished this series, because I have so many many things to read next.

DON'T READ THIS REVIEW UNLESS YOU'VE FINISHED BOOK#2 "OF TRITON"

I love this series so much but, I honestly didn't think this book was as good as the others. The story definitely ended close to greatly(for a person very picky about endings I did like this one). However I didn't really like the idea of a town full of half-breeds, or the fact that there are other towns. I didn't like the fact that Emma let Reed warm up to her in the first place even as a friend, like girl get it together and go get your man and leave the guy your man is jealous of. I hated that Toraf and Rayna had very little to do with the story like seriously Rayna has three lines in the book each is a sentence long. Overall I did love the amount of action, and the fact that they finally talked about people finding out about the Syrena world. I love the intensity between Emma and Galen. Through out the rest of the series it always felt like their relationship was unbalanced. It always felt like she doesn't love him as much as he loves her, but in this book (mainly the ending) it finally feels like an amazing very balanced relationship. I love their love so much they are my favorite couple of all time. (for now.)

I had so many problems with this. I'll write a review tomorrow like I usually do. I really wish she had left it at two books though.

This was not my favorite of the series, but I had to give it 4 stars just for the entertainment and anxiety inducing moments it gave me. Like the true CW drama I feel that this should be, I laughed, screamed, and wanted to throw things at some of the characters for the stupid decisions they made. This whole trilogy was so worth the read for me.

I'm so done with Emma! She's such a flat and basic character. I would've loved for her to be with Reed. Galen is such a control freak, every second he's on Emma's ass where as Reed gives her time and is far more open with her than Galen is.
The story especially the kidnapping was so cliche like it was predictable.

I loved this book. I hated how much of it Emma and Galen spent separated, which is what took one star away. Otherwise, loved it. I picked it up from post office today, after work, and now I've been awake way too long to finish it. Totally worth the short night of sleep! =D

It took me literally FOUR years to read this book, because the story was nicely wrapped up by the end of the second book. As another reviewer said, this book reads like a bonus story because it's so random and the characters seem to have regressed emotionally.

Case in Point:
Emma meets Reed, who is immediately in love with her, and doesn't push him away when he tries to kiss her about 3 days into Galen disappearing. Umm. Even if she thought Galen had left her, it had still only been 3 days since she'd heard from her to-be-husband/mate. Remember how long Bella from [b:Twilight|41865|Twilight (Twilight, #1)|Stephenie Meyer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1361039443s/41865.jpg|3212258] mourned Edward after he actually broke up with her?? Months, people. Here, Galen never broke up with Emma, leaving in order to get a message to his brother in the sea. To me, it seemed so obvious that Emma should know that even though they fought before he left, it would have been out of character for him to not respond at all on his phone. Plus, the way she was enamored with the town of Neptune? So annoying and strange that while Galen was getting tortured there and the resident mad scientist was trying to catch a mermaid, Emma was thinking of how charming and great the town was.

To be fair, I gave the first two books in the series a lower rating the first time I read it (I re-read them just before reading this), so it's possible that I'll have a better opinion of this book if I come back to give it another chance. But will that be in another 4+ years? I'm definitely not in a rush to reread this hot mess.

This was the worst one in the trilogy. I think it could've even been a duology.

There was no reason for this book to me. I mean, we had a good ending to the last one, there was no cliffhanger. The only thing that needed to be added was the epilogue from the this book to the second one. That's it.

I was very disappointed - what was the point of reading a book where Emma's almost kissed by another guy and the Royals are off in never-never land and Galen has been kidnapped and being tortured. I see no point in this book.
