A fun read. Was surprised by some of the intimate expressions used by the author, particularly since it looks like they've built their career in the romance genre. Had to gloss over a few parts.

I'd like to learn more about some of the other characters, so I'll probably check out the next book. So far the universe that has been created is intriguing and I find myself curious to know more.

Some poor writing covered over by the spicy scenes but last 200 pages is better as the plot actually plots rather than Saeris and Fisher hating/fucking each other.

Really enjoyed this book! After getting recommendation from not one, not two but three of my friends I knew I had to read it!

It was such a step up from the last Romantasy book I read. I felt that the FMC was actually strong and independent, she had well-earned street cred that made it believable that the MMC would be interested in her as a partner.

I was guessing along and along how it would play out and while the end wasn’t a twist perse I was pleasantly surprised by how the author brought it home. Can’t wait for the sequel this fall (2025).

This book relies on a handful of tropes to tell its story, and the last chunk of the book felt like it was put together in a rush but if you don't mind that it is a great read for the vibe book. The banter and dialogue of this book were top-notch.

Wow, what a book! I can't even properly put my thoughts into words. The worldbuilding is great with unique twists (warring races/nations aren't new, but the lore behind them sure is special enough to shine bright), the characters are multidimensional and compelling (with both endearing and infuriating traits), and all the emotional plot twists with slowly revealing information are just... *chef's kiss*. I can't wait to get to the sequel when it is published!

//After reading this I came across multiple reviews and commentaries of this book showing how this book has a trope of continuously negating a woman rejecting a man, and the potentially dangerous real-life consequences of enforcing this kind of mindset. This made me drop down my rating vy a star, as I agree. That aspect of the plot could have been handled better.
