I love how Beth takes a meet cute couple and then throws them into something dramatic.
Like her other books, it goes into the nitty gritty if what makes a person and how do they survive.
I love her books for the hidden depth, but also all the cute.
And the seagull.

An old barge house boat (aka not sea worthy) unbeknowingly sets adrift to the open ocean with its two grumpy (her) sunshine (him) one night stand passengers still aboard. She was annoying, overly rough around the edges, and standoffish, but he was charming, genuine, and redeeming. Together they make some epically stupid choices while waiting for a rescue.  Would have loved to dive into this duo more once the plot driven conflict resolved, but instead found them dealing with a character driven conflict immediately after - and that felt like too much for one book IMO.

Good-ish read, but won’t go back for seconds. Also ZERO 🌶️ on page and pretty strict character imposed modesty; so borrring.
