This book pushed way past my expectations, was it a little predictable yes it was. It had so many components that made it worth it though. Made me want to just give lily a hug throughout the entire book. This book had every component from love, heartbreak, just enough intimacy, and a love triangle if you would call it that. Finished it in one sitting, wanted to enter 2022 reading the best book I have ever read, and I did. I knew it had just become my favorite when I realized I was 100 pages in and hadn't checked my time once. No matter if you hate predictable stories or not this is a read, because it shows strength and opportunities, and how to love yourself and put yourself first. Definitely look up triggers first though, very very emotional, and heart tearing.

I was expecting Hoover’s books to all be the exact same but I was so incredibly wrong. This book is gut-wrenching, devastating, and incredibly important. I thought I knew what was going to happen at the end but the delivery of the resolution was perfect.

I’m giving this 3 stars because it made me as angry as the book on the Rwandan Genocide. It was entertaining and I couldn’t stop reading it, but it did make me cringe a whole lot. Also it felt like there was a lot going on with everyone so that made me confused as to where the story was gonna go. Forgot to say that this book didn’t make me feel sad WITH Lily, it made me pity her and be angry at her too. I don’t know if that was the point but eh whatever

Also sure Atlas is the good guy in this story
but still a senior dating a sophomore grosses me out.
I don’t like Ellen and never have because she gives me the same vibe as Jimmy Kimmel (they both poke at the people they’re interviewing until the people look uncomfortable and it gives me second hand embarrassment).

I hated Ryle from the start so props to me for that. I’m glad Alyssa told Lily to leave her brother but also she defended him when she knew what happened and that’s one of the things that made me so mad.

I feel like I should have been given a trigger warning but I’ll let it slide. This isn’t my kind of book
