“Cycles exist because they are excruciating to break.”

I…uh…wow. #1 indication of how much I liked this book is the fact that I finished it in about 5 hours. I was CAPTIVATED. From some steamy scenes to the evolving plot- this was so good.

Also, the scrubs. It’s always the scrubs.

So painful to read. The story of a woman who becomes a domestic abuse victim, seeking to answer the question of "why does she stay with him?" I've heard many people say the writing was terrible- I think the writing was average, not terrible, so it didn't really bother me. The much more pressing issue is how the ending of this book ruins the book's mission and pushes an incredibly harmful message-
The main character allows her abusive ex-husband to co-parent their child, who was born after they split up?? She thinks it's best for their child for the abusive asshole to be in the child's life?? And the story supports this decision as if it's mature of her?? Fuck that.

Sept 18 page (187) : book is going great so far I'm enjoying it ends with us! People spoiled a little of the book so it's tempting to just skip to the end, ryle is a good boyfriend so is Lilly. The fact that atlas said something about wanting to meet her 2 year ago before he started dating his girlfriend melts my heart. Also loving the quotes in this book their so meaningful love Collen hover books.
finished : I hate ryle.
