Overall, this was a relaxing series to read with nice characters. But by the end of this book, I was ready for more depth and complexity.

The best chapter in this book was Kraken fighting the dragon with his army of cats and noble sacrificing rat warriors 🤣
While I enjoyed the story, the style of writing is like a manga script, and three books like that in a row was too much for me. It was getting super repetitive as far as descriptions, dialogue, and character reactions go, and I really struggled to finish.

I'm not sure how a book that includes a war, still has the feel of a cozy fantasy, but it does. A wonderful wrap up to the series. A little heartbreak, a lot of laughs and a lovely ride.

This book was a wonderful conclusion to Fin’s story! As always, I adored Fin. He has truly become one of my all time favorite characters. I felt he had the most development in this book, and that the development he underwent in the other books was best shown. He grew not only as a person but as witch, becoming more confident and open to those around him. I also love Kraken, with all his chaos, and the insight we got into his and Fin’s pairing as witch and familiar in this book. Of course, the kitchen crew is as amazing as always! My only slight disappointment in a character was with Annika, as I felt that a lot of her development from the last book was thrown out the window. In terms of plot and pacing, my biggest critiques for the last two books, it was very well done in this finale. There was a lot of action at a strong pace, a good balance of funny and emotional moments, and an amazing resolution. Overall, an amazing conclusion to an amazing series. I cannot recommend the House Witch series enough.
