Total süßes Buch. Es stand ganze 6 Jahre in meinem Bücherregal und jetzt bereue ich es, solange gewartet zu haben. Zwischendurch hat es sich für mich ein bisschen gezogen, die letzten 130 Seiten habe ich dann aber wieder in einem Rutsch gelesen. Eine absolute traumhafte Liebesgeschichte.

Picked this up because I wanted to read something with Christmas vibes & I actually finished it on Christmas Day!
I liked the dual POV and the original/unique idea of the story but more should have been done with the notebook and dares. There was untapped potential.
However, I’m looking forward to watching the Netflix adaptation.

*3.5 Stars. I think this is a great quick and easy holiday read! While I enjoyed the bookish references and settings, Dash and some of the writing was just pretentious. Dash is one of those people who purposely uses big or obscure words just to seem intelligent and so he gets to explain it. But overall it was a quick and pretty engaging read that I read pretty quickly.

Absolutely adorable! I listened to the audio version and I loved the narrators. Dash may be a hipster, but I love him anyway!
This was a very cute book to read.
Though I wish there were more dares, the dares stop around half the book and then suddenly it is just normal story with them meeting up. I felt it would have been nicer if the whole book was about it, or at least 80 to 90% of the book.
One thing I didn't like was the fact that Dash didn't sound like a teenager, he sounded like an old professor. I had a hard time getting through his parts, in the end it worked out, but still I wish it was less fancy words and more normal words.
I loved Lily though. She was a really nice and lovely girl. A bit insecure but through the book you see she changes, becomes more sure of her things and also dares to do things she would never do.
There were many fun quotes that I will be sure to write down and remember, and I will also be sure to buy the book when I have a chance.
