Good as ever and I even found I had a better perspective reading it this time than when I was younger. For some reason, as a kid, I saw the memorization of books in the end as a bigger deal than it obviously is. In fact, the saving of books in the end is almost an afterthought, good if we can get it, icing on the cake. And I'm not sure I even remember the fact that the city was obliterated in the end. And the edition I read this time has a afterword by Bradbury that is both enlightening in his concern about censorship and non-thinking, but also a depressing sign of the age of the book and the author in that he thinks that someone's concern that his current works have no female characters is both insulting and comparable to Shakespeare's lack. But in the end, it's the novel itself that I came to read and it really drives home the problem of actively discouraging thoughts, even painful ones, and the horror and triumph of standing alone (or close to alone) against society and the government. Great story. Can't wait to read it again!

enjoyed this.it was a quick read and almost exactly the same as ray Bradbury's original story. But his original story is much more worth reading than this. The characters weren't well defined and the story seemed a lot more vague. Not very well fleshed out. If you haven't the original story you should read it before reading this. If I had read this first I may not have liked it or have even bothered to read the original. This doesn't do the original story as much justice as I would have liked.
The visuals used for this graphic novel adaptation of Bradbury's classic dystopian do a great job of bringing the story to life. Flames and terror of characters pop on the pages. I believe it's been over a decade since I first read Fahrenheit 451 of my own curious volition. I feel this version provides a good review for someone who has already read the book or a strong look into the novel to better comprehend the narrative for those new to the world.
Remember, in Montag's reality the government did not immediately outlaw books; people first decided books were not worth the time to consume and consider. After society has neglected books, outlawing them becomes easy, because the norm is to not read. This is the authorized adaptation and includes an introduction by Bradbury himself, which I took to mean who liked the way Hamilton's art presented his story.

I think I would have liked this a lot more if I hadn't read the novel beforehand. The art was okay, and the scenes that were illustrated were well chosen and detailed. Yet, there was still something missing from this, and at the end I wasn't as impressed with this version as I was with the actual book.
