It took awhile to get into but it was a good read. I hope there will be more in the series.

As per usual, many many trigger warnings with Karin Slaughter - but the story was good, a bit predictable and convoluted at times, but dark and interesting. Didn’t love any of the characters in particular and the majority of the men made me want to puke. But that was the intent I suppose.
I listened to this book on audible and I was hooked from the very beginning. Lots of twists and turns! It reminded me of the classic who done it. I highly recommend.
I read Pieces of Her a few years ago, and it was okay - not my favorite Karin Slaughter (and I have many; she is excellent!). I’ve had this book for a while and kept lowering it on my TBR since this book follows the same protagonist as Pieces of Her. I am so glad I finally picked it up! This book is on par with Slaughter’s Will Trent series. Interesting characters, compelling case, a couple twists… wonderful read!
