To be honest, I didn't really like the romance and I also didn't understand how everyone in Elsewhere were nice people - there weren't any murderers, death row inmates, etc. I'm giving it three stars anyway though because the idea was great, and I had fun reading it. :)

I picked up Elsewhere because TT&T broke my heart and I thought about that book for months after... guess what? My heart is broken and I'll think about this for months after. I had no idea this was a YA novel going in, but as a huge fan of Vicky Angel and The Lovely Bones, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure, some parts felt a little "hallmark movie", but when I finished this book I held it to my chest as I sobbed onto my pug (iykyk), and that is the power of reading.

I feel like if I had read this book as a teenager I might have really loved it, but as an adult I found Liz to be the least interesting character to focus on. Still enjoyed it overall though

This is one of my favorite books about death and the afterlife for young audiences.

The way you die and then age backwards and one day return?
The way you still LIVE in this afterlife.

I am not sure what I mourned more, her "life" or her "death life"
