I wanted a real big battle at then end, maybe a few deaths among those we have grown to love but nothing :(

I started reading the Morganville series during my first semester of community college at the end of 2007, I ended my journey right before starting my final quarter at university in the beginning of 2013. I feel weird saying this and I don't say this lightly-- but I feel similar feelings to when I finished Harry Potter. For reals. I grew up with these characters, Claire beginning college and I having just turned the symbolic age of 18 and now the Glass House family is off having their grown up adventures and I'm 24 and about to start the very scary post-college life. It's all very... parallel-istic.

The final book in the series did not disappoint me in the least. I was so scared starting it because I feared that certain questions would not be answered. Rachel Caine tied up every loose end there was though and for that I was very grateful. While I do appreciate an author's desire to let the reader decide certain things for ourselves at the end of a story, there's only so much deciding I can handle after sticking with characters for over four years.

For so long I've looked forward to reading about these people every six months, I've quickly devoured the books and I was no more patient this time around. I'll miss this town and these people. I've heard whispers of a show appearing and all be waiting with baited breath for more information. Morganville truly became a town I never wanted to leave.

She did it again

So glad I finally made my way through the end of this series. Some of the middle felt rough but these last two books were my characters and my town at its finest. I'm also sad to leave them and I'm sure I'll be back to my favorites again. So impressed and yet not surprised that Rachel Caine made me feel a lot of feelings and stay up too late at night, yet again to finish a morganville book ❤️ and what a perfect epilogue ❤️

Saying goodbye to this series was very hard and I had been avoiding it for a very long time but alas it had to happen. This book was filled with the clichés we all love even though we now we shouldn't, and although predictable as it was I can't say that I'm not satisfied. I will miss the adventures of Glass House but all things must come to an end.

First Thought when Finished: Daylighters ended in the most perfect of ways (I am talking last chapter y'all). It made me sad and happy at the same time! I felt that overall Daylighters delivered answers, wrapped up storylines, and gave us hope for the future. Whenever I leave a series smiling it is a good thing! Thank you Morganville for the good times!

I'm very very torn on what rating to give this, part of me is like I enjoyed this because I enjoyed the majority of the book but the ending was a bit like... I haven't got the words a bit anti-climatic.. It was like I need a happy ending and tied up loose ends but it was a bit boring.
I want the bad people dead. Don't be merciful don't pretend vampires are twilights... They're scary or mean't to be!!

Glad I got through all 15 books though!

A very satisfying ending to a series that basically took over 3 weeks of my life. It's no secret that since about book 10, the series started doing downhill for me but I'm invested in the characters (plus I'd already read 10 books, like I'm going to quit!). Daylighters really didn't have much of the things that I didn't like and couldn't stand in the precious books (namely Shane) (and also Shane/Claire) but I thoroughly enjoyed Daylighters and this series so 5 stars!
