While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't quite sure what it wanted to be in terms of plot. There is a lot going on, and multiple almost disparate threads to follow. The chemistry between Rose and Damian is there, but does feel a little forced at times and opportunities for them to reflect and grow even more were missed.

This one was so fun. I loved getting to know Rose. I love the relationship between the sisters. I love that they are so supportive of each other and that there isn't any animosity between them. I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Rose and Damian grow. But can we all agree that we are done with the 3rd act breakup?
This book was pure fun; I love the Maxwell sisters and it was so much fun to watch Rose figure out what to do with herself now that she is no longer Prima Apparent. Damien made for a delightfully grumpy leading man to Rose's very optimistic outlook as she looks for her new passion. Also, there are cute puppies in this book so really, you can't go wrong. I like the set-up for the next book as well. April Asher is so good about taking the tried and true romance tropes and adding magic into them. Highly recommend for a read that will be fun and take you out of reality for a few hours!

Not Your Ex’s Hexes is hilariously absurd, but in the absolute best of ways! This book was such a fun and sexy read. April Asher managed to write a book that was witty, absolutely ridiculous, sweet, romantic and sexy, and I am not entirely sure how she made that work. But she did.
If you only like serious literature than this may not be the book for you. If you want a super romantic, emotionally hard-hitter of a book than this also may not be the book for you. But if you are into spicy witch and demon hijinks and shenanigans, buckle up!
Rose Maxwell is such a diva, but also just an amazing person that has a heart of gold. It makes all of her high maintenance ways well worth it. Damian Adams is such a smolder impersonated. He is grumbly and a total marshmallow. You just want to root for these two and can’t wait to see what kind of trouble they can find themselves in next.
Overall, I loved this book and would recommend it to all romance or paranormal lovers. It is such a fun read. I can’t wait for April Asher’s next book and can definitely see myself rereading this one.
