Book Review: Hilda and the Troll by Luke Pearson
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)

Hilda and the Troll is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that’s perfect for middle-grade readers who enjoy fantasy and adventure. The story introduces readers to Hilda, a brave and curious girl living in a magical world filled with wonder and mystery.

The book offers a gentle but engaging adventure, with just the right balance of charm and intrigue. The artwork is stunning and really helps bring the imaginative setting to life. Hilda’s character is endearing and makes the story enjoyable for readers of all ages.

I rated it 4 stars because while it's a quick read, it leaves a strong impression through its atmosphere and unique storytelling. A great pick for children ready to explore magical worlds and light adventures, without anything too scary or complicated.

I have a Moomin-shaped hole in my heart. If only I'd found Hilda earlier! What a lovely book -- delicate and laughing and wise in the most lovely of minor keys.

First of a brilliant series that I wish were longer. I saw the animated series first, but I would have liked to have read the books first. I adore Hilda- wish she was my best friend. There are some great panels that made me laugh and feel relatable (especially from Wood Man)
