Re-read. Though the love triangle got a little old at times, I do understand how a teenage girl fighting for her life may not have the space to figure her love life out promptly. I kind of wish we could have seen her as a mentor, and the struggles that would come along with that. Still enjoyed it regardless.

Poor Katniss just can't catch a break. After winning the Hunger Games and returning to her family, the Capitol decides to rain all over her parade. So they whisk her away again on the grounds of being required to participate in the Quarter Quell.

I finished this in a single day, but that's not an indication of how much I liked it. The followup to The Hunger Games covers very little new ground, so you'll probably like Catching Fire (almost) as much as you liked its preceding novel. I found the plot and intrigue pulled me in, but I still had issues with the writing style and this one felt even more juvenile than the first, for some reason. (I'm guessing if I re-read the first now I'd feel the same way about it but it didn't seem so on first read.) Definitely has the makings for a decent bridge-movie in a trilogy, but so far it's the weaker of the two books in the series I've read.
This was a re-read. I love it so much. There was a brief part in the book talking about Haymitch's game. I am curious to see if the new book expands on what the author told us.
