Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½
Couple: Macon & Lennon

“Unforgiving. Difficult to master. You don’t want easy. You don’t want to erase your mistakes. You want to build on them and transform them into something beautiful. You’ve never wanted fine, Lennon. You want watercolors.”

I feel like I've been washed, dried, and ironed out at this point. The fact that one single person, who I will not name, changed the outcome of these individuals lives, ugh I'm not okay. Did it in the end produce growth and change, yes, but damn did it have to hurt so bad. Beautifully written, heart breaking and mending words. I loved Macon and Lennon so much and they both paid and fought for the happily ever after they so deserved. Soulmates will always find there way back to each other.

I'm rating this entire duet 4 stars! ⭐
I'm not going to say I had a fun time reading this, cause I was so so so angry the entire time I was reading it. It made me so sad, so tired, so exhausted, so angsty.... I just felt too much
But that is exactly what I expected from it.
I have never read a book duo faster than this. As soon as I finished book 1 at 1 AM I started book 2 and finished that one equally fast as well
I was so intrigued by Lennon and Mason's stories. Individually and together. Their stories were woven together so beautifully.
I cried with them, I cried for them, and after a certain point I wanted to throw my ipad against the wall.
But in the end, it all ties together and I was so so so happy for them.
I always know I can Logan's recommendations and this one didn't disappoint AT ALL.
Also, the redeeming arc for Sam was soooo fucking good and I cannot wait to read her book (maybe in a few weeks, cause I need a break from this pain and headaches).
(P.S : It did give me an actual migraine from all the pain it caused 🙂)
I have also heard people rave about the audiobooks and how they're sooo nice so I would recommend listening to the audiobooks maybe if you want to get into these books, and love audiobooks.

Macon and Lennon book 2

Macon and Lennon have never gotten along but Lennon has always had a crush on him. Lennon lost her mom and is an only child. Macon’s father doesn’t have anything to do with his family. Macon has some bad habits that threaten to ruin everything good in his life and it comes close. Years later something happens in the family and everyone is back around each other. Lennon starts learning the truth of the past and what’s been happening since she left.

All the ASTRAEA stars!
This was such a heart wrenching and also satisfying conclusion to Lennon and Macon’s taboo, angsty story.
I love these characters so much, they’re deep and so well developed.
A major event brings Lennon back home after years of living in Europe and avoiding Macon and family to some extent as well.
The writing is beautiful, the story is full of big emotions.
Both characters are dealing with past and present pain, it’s very emotional, my feelings were all over the place as I read. I felt so strongly for the characters, I felt connected to their feelings.
It’s a story that kept me fully invested as unknown truths from their past slowly get revealed that made me angry and sad for them. They also give insight into what and why things went wrong.
The miscommunications and the non communication in some instances caused so much hurt for both characters.
Their relationship is tangled, tortured and also so very beautiful.
Their chemistry and connection is as strong as ever, but there are emotional obstacles keeping Lennon from opening up to the possibility of another chance with Macon.
Macon is even dreamier in this book. He is so caring and patient with Lennon. He showed a lot of love and respect for her boundaries and issues. He’s matured and changed in very positive ways.
I love the growth and changes in both characters. I think their time apart is so sad but necessary for them personally. I love the unexpected paths they both took.
This story gave me the butterflies and excitement as the first book did. I love this couple’s interactions and their smoking hot moments together. Their love and relationship feels star crossed and fated. It’s a very strong, once in a lifetime connection. Their longing for each other is so palpable.
There’s a lot of heart aching and heart warming story in this book and I enjoyed every part of it. Even when I got teary eyed and even when I raged.
The secondary characters play big roles in this book, both good and bad. They’re all richly developed characters.
I love Lennon and Macon’s epic journey so much. It’s so much more than a taboo and second chance romance, it’s the kind of story and characters that made me feel everything with them.
A few scenes when Lennon finally understands some meaning to Macon’s words, actions, etc… were so poignant and beautifully emotional. Astraea (wait for it) especially really hit me hard.
My heart was torn and then put back together. In LOVE!
