I really enjoyed the story but got so bogged down with the excruciating details about Egyptology and quantum physics that I ended up skimming quite a bit.
I wanted to love this book but the sheer volume of facts and Egypt and Quantum Physics was exhausting. I ended up skimming almost half the book. The point of them was made early on and I lost interest in the rest. I enjoyed the family storyline and the love triangle - I truly wanted to know what happened to them but absolutely hated the ending.
I don’t know why I keep reading Jodi Picoult books. I always hate the endings!

i really liked this, although i was convinced for like the first 2/3rds that this book was about two alternate universes - one where she went back home to boston after the crash and one where she went to egypt so it did throw me off alot when it was like yeah the boston stuff just happened before the egypt stuff😭 i liked her more in boston than egypt and i think she needs to work on her communication skills because good lord does she refuse to tell anyone anything. all the characters are well written but i do think she should be nicer to brian

This book absolutely transported me. I went through a rainbow of emotions reading this. I have to say is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.
Heartbreaking and beautiful and frustrating and it made me cry on a plane.
I was surprised when my request for this new release (with nearly 300 holds!) was fulfilled. I think I was meant to read this book as I start to process the death of my mother. While living, dying and remembering is at the core of this book, it’s not in the way you would think. This book brought me some comfort and understanding during such a difficult part of my life.
“When you lose someone you love, there is a tear in the fabric of the universe. It’s the scar you feel for, the flaw you can’t stop seeing. It’s the tender place that won’t bear weight. It’s a void.”

Thought the timeline was confusing; bones of the story were good.
