The title and blurb were what drew me in, it sounded so different from the normal romance books out there. I loved it. It felt really realistic to me about everyday life and how slowly falling for your best friend after a pact makes you rethink your friendship. A great read with lots of humor, will definitely read the next 2 books.

While this book had a somewhat happy ending and was well written, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I hated how the two main characters dated other people and slept around so much. Like it was almost excessive. Honestly, I just think it wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean that someone else won't enjoy it. Due to there being a good plot, it being written so well and there being a happy ending, I'm giving it 4 stars.
Such a disappointing book. I wanted a book like [b:Sins & Needles|16029994|Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy, #1)|Karina Halle|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1347859611s/16029994.jpg|21799599] but instead this book is just like all of the other new adult romances out there.
Round of applause for my first Karina Halle book, guys!
This was a friends to lovers romance with a little twist. I found this book to be light and fun and just steamy enough to keep my interests piqued. The emotional turmoil in this book was just enough to to substitute my love of angst. I really enjoyed this book and the characters were all very likable. Well, besides one who was very whiny and just so terribly annoying.
Linden and Stephanie are best friends and in their mid-twenties. However, neither one is having much luck in the love game, so Linden suggest a pact. If they aren't seriously involved with any one by the time they are thirty, they marry each other. Okaaaay... okay.
I need to say this: I was pulling for Linden from the first chapter. He was a bit cocky with a dirty mouth and a sweet side, while Stephanie was confident and spunky. I felt like they complimented each other so well. I liked that.
Don't even want to talk about 81% of the way through right now. Just so damn annoying and frustrating. And depressing.
The story is told in dual POV and you guys should know that I'm a huge fan of that by now. I love getting the guys perspective. And I loved getting Linden's.
So here's to baby blues and Cowboys. And many more Karina Halle books for me!

Really struggled to finish this one. It just felt very slow
DNF at 48%. I’m all for slow burns but that’s not what this is. This is 2 people being so stupid and not telling each other how they feel. My goodness these characters were annoying.
I thought I was going to enjoy it but lost the sparks halfway through.
i don’t… like anyone in this book?? the two MC’s are kinda dicks to their SO’s at times but i’m mostly indifferent to them. the real kicker is that we’re just supposed to forgive their “best friend” for pulling some absolutely fucked up shit. i do not think so!!
other than that it was like. fine. a p basic best friends to lovers but i wasn’t rooting for or against them.

Really enjoyed this book. I just love me some Scottish men and Linden did not disappoint!
