I really like Quinn, I hope he doesn't die. That ending had me crying.
"He enjoyed dessert so much, he came back for seconds." 😋

This is actually one of the better Sookie books I have read in awhile. There was actually a decent plot in this book and there wasn't constant sex.
Definitely not a stand-alone - you really have to know all the characters by now. Still enjoying them, although like the last you can't help but feel it's a bridging book to some huge denoument.
i really hate quinn. every time i read the word "babe", i cringe. also, he wears a genie outfit.

Another easy read from the Sookie series.
Falling more and more in love with Eric as the days pass.
Falling more and more in love with Eric as the days pass.
My primary issue with this book relates to the climax, so I can't say much about it without spoiling. I think perhaps that Ms. Harris was indulging in some wishful thinking regarding disasters that were recent at the time the book was written, and I'll just leave it at that.
This installment of the Sookie Stackhouse series held a little bit of everything for me. After the relatively disappointing reads of Dead as a Doornail, and Definitely Dead, I felt Charlaine Harris was back on track with the Sookie stories. It started slowly, but once the action started, it was a non-stop roller-coster ride to the end.
I enjoyed meeting vampire factions not previously introduced, and becoming better acquainted with the vamps from previous books, that I have come to love, or hate, in some cases, both. The suspense level in All Together Dead war fairly high, what with vampires dropping like flies, our heroine finding herself in one life or death situation after another, and a conspiracy that is not only aimed at the lovely Queen of Louisiana, but all vampire attendees, and their humans at the vampire summit in Rhodes.
The romance was very toned down, taking a backseat to the action in this book, and the story didn't suffer one little bit. Quinn makes sporadic appearances here and there, but Harris was laying the tracks for a possible Eric/Sookie reunion in From Dead to Worse. By the end of the book, their blood bond is stronger than ever, and Sookie is confused about the future of her relationship with Eric, and with Quinn.
Harris also opens the door to the possibility that Sookie's "gift" could be discovered, and harnessed by humans, thereby ending her small town life as she knows it. Sookie and her fellow telepath, Barry Bellboy, narrowly escape discovery while aiding rescue workers in Rhodes. Good stuff, and especially ironic, since the majority of the populous of Bon Temps know of, or have witnessed Sookie's ability, and either write her off as crazy, or hide their knowledge of the ability with thinly veiled contempt.

The books are starting to get a little far-fetched but it's still an enjoyable read.
