Honestly, the best horror I've ever read. Beautifully written, with developed characters and no silly ending. Suspense from start to finish. I'd give it more than five stars if I could.

Never has a book totally wrecked me. I felt myself praying along side Peter to give him strength. This book just touched my heart and literally ripped it right out of me. Outstanding!

I have to admit, this book took me forever to get through. I was coming off a book high from a previous read, and I have to say, Boys In The Valley did not disappoint. It took me awhile to get through, but I'm fairly certain I would have DNFed any other book.

Philip Fracassi does a wonderful job bringing the setting & atmosphere to life without drowning you in pages of details. The story easily plays out in your head like a movie, which is always enjoyable!

That being said, I do wish we got to know some of the characters better. If a character's past of horrible, violent acts is mentioned, I want to know what he did exactly. Especially in a horror book.

I still don't feel Boys In The Valley fell short in any way. I'm glad I stuck with it and would definitely recommend.

Let me start off by saying, I don’t really read (or like) horror books.
I was reading this book like: 🫣😱
There was gore, there was death (lots) and there was a bunch of demonic possessions…and I had some visceral reactions to some of the very descriptive scenes. Yuck!
It was like I was watching a car crash…I couldn’t look away! I was really rooting for a few of the characters to make it out alive…
And the ending! 😳😭

The first half was so good - interesting, creepy, page-turning - but the action packed second half was hard to get through resulting in a ‘meh’ ending.
