I have beef with both Hugh-dini & Charlie. Yes they were forgiven and they apologized for their wrongdoings but I feel like they were let off the hook too easily. Especially Charlie, one “I’m sorry” does not make up for all the years of BS that girl was put through. Still Hugo & Stella were very hot

This is a fun, entertaining read. Hugo and Stella are interesting, relatable, complex, intriguing, entertaining, fun characters. I enjoyed them as individuals and a couple. I loved Hugo and the more we got to know him the more I loved him. Their banter is hilarious and so much fun to read. I enjoyed the path their romance took to get to their HEA. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story. I enjoyed the friendship and family aspects of the story and the roles they played in our main characters’ lives. I wanted more from the ending than what we got. The story is easy to read and get into.

I enjoyed the audio version of this book and the narrators.

I feel like this book would’ve benefited in not having dual pov. The audio book made me feel like I was listening to Andrew Tate or that Dimitri guy from the voicemail for the first part of the book.
All the characters became better at the end but at the start everyone one was annoying me, the parents, the brother, the mmc and Stella.
The fact she hooks up with him three times after finding out he ruin her chance of a job is wild. He literally was the reason she lost her dream job but she just kept getting caught up. Also she was way too nice on her mum, why wouldn’t she tell her that his recommendation was leaked and she couldn’t get any jobs because of it?

I nearly DNF at the start. But I did finish and it was half decent. I just wasn’t vibing with a few things and it kinda put me off.

I listened to the audiobook of this story.  This story was right up my alley.  As a former mathlete, I could relate to Hugo and his need for logic and patterns everywhere he turned.  I loved how Stella knocked him off his axis and made his life less predictable.  I enjoyed the interactions between the main couple, but I also really enjoyed each of their interactions with their respective friend groups.  I was frequently laughing out loud wondering where the story would go next.  It’s the little details the author included that really made this story special.  Now don’t wait another leap-second deciding if between the cheeseball and the pineapple dessert…just eat both.  ;) #iykyk

Grumpy/sunshine, childhood friends to lovers, he falls first with a bit of enemies to lovers.   I adore this author's sassy heroines with their very human flaws. This book has me laughing out loud.

Stella is Hugo's best friends little sister and she has always been off limits but when he screws up her chances at her dream job and it domino's into screwing up her chances for any job in her field he offers her a job in his office.
Stella has always had a crush on Hugo but she's pretty sure he's always thought of her has the bratty little sister, so she's super surprised when his control snaps and he kisses her and things just get more confusing from there.
Stella has some serious confidence issues and Hugo has some serious perfectionism issues making them an interesting pairing, the humor was on point and I had way more fun with this one than I did with the previous book in this series.
