Reminded me of the poems I wrote after a breakup at 17 and the trials and tribulations of pre adulthood. Very sweet and often funny. Interesting prose in many of the poems.

I am not typically drawn to poetry, but I had heard the author do a reading on a podcast and was drawn into to rhythm and delivery of her poem. Unfortunately this didn’t translate to the book for me. Although I did love “all I wanted was some toast”
