The Romeo and Juliet of Edinburgh, except she's a female surgeon and he's a grave robber. Truly an unlikely pair who fall in love in the most unlikely place and circumstance.

Speechless!!!! Surprising, disturbing, romantic, gory as hell, absolutely thrilling!!! The perfect gothic horror romance.

This started so strong but the last third of the book felt like it jumped the shark.

As it was 3.8 on here I almost decided not to read it. I’m so so glad I did as this book will stay with me.
(P.S guardian also thinks it’s 5/5)

The plot is gripping and tender. Characters are compelling and the book is beautifully written with nods to edinburghs history and with gothic undertones.

Really enjoyed this, great atmosphere and immersive plot, just felt that it ended a bit abruptly but looking forward to reading the second book!

The characters are flat and the story is not that interesting either

Just bleh. Good at first but then the tropes and thankfully read quickly just as I considered abandoning it.
