Tohutult positiivne üllatus! Kui raamatu laenasin, siis ei osanud arvatagi, et raamat võiks nii positiivse mulje jätta

Such great storytelling. Simple, beautiful and effective. Plot was well crafted and everything knit together nicely!
honestly excluding the fact that there were gruesome murders, grave robbing and lots of gore this was a cute puppylove story. it was fun and nothing too deep. insta lovey but it made sense considering the length of the book, wasn’t that bothered by it. the slight fantasy theme of it was also cool.
the thing is, i have no fucking idea what that ending was. i know i’m dumb when it comes to that, i’m always the one that googles “___ ending explained” after finishing a pretentious movie. but WHAT THE HELL was that man, i am so confused. is he alive or not? if he is then why the hell isn’t he with her??? what was the point of all that if not to be together then??
i do feel like it could’ve been way better if it were a bit longer. it is called “anatomy: a love story” but there wasn’t that much of a love story. i’m just a bit disappointed.

Started off slow and finished fast. There were incredible amounts of detail in some bits and not enough in others. The mystery was very predictable through the foreshadowing. The ending felt meh. Overall not the worst but not the best either.

4.5 / 5 ⭐️
This was everything I needed in a gothic YA novel. Strong female lead and lovable side characters. The title Anatomy : A love story, leads more towards the FMC’s passion for human anatomy and biological science over her falling in love with a boy. Which, even though you could categorise this book as a slow burn romance it wasn’t the main drive in the plot.
I loved the Frankenstein meets dark Jane Eyre, 19th century Scotland setting. Very romantic in a classic novel mysterious way. A story of a young girl with a dream to become a surgeon in a patriarchal society and a young ‘grave robber’ who steals bodies for her to study on.
Read this in a singular day, which for me I don’t usually do unless it’s an action packed fantasy. But clearly the dormant academic part of my brain took over because I became very invested in the scientific elements and her progress as a physician.
I was slightly irritated by the ending but since finding I out its actually a duology the final couple of chapters make sense. If you like reading classics or dark gothic fantasy I would definitely recommend this!

This book ignited so much emotion into me. I was recommended it by my librarian and I truly must thank her. It's time for me to order a copy of both this and the sequel. It had the perfect mix of romance while having other plot elements. I don’t tend to enjoy books while the plot is just romance, just not my cup of tea. I also never thought I’d get this emotional over a straight couple.
Its themes are well developed. I believe they are about why women shouldn’t be underestimated and about class. Considering what the doctors were doing:( The second I realized I was disappointed but not surprised. I do need to think about it more to describe it in heavy detail.
I rooted for Hazel and Jack on every single page. I thought I’d know what would happen next but I was always wrong. I can’t wait to learn more about them both. I never knew kissing in a graveyard could be so romantic. Near the last act, I began to get paranoid about how I’d feel about the ending. The last page nearly made me cry. I nearly thought all was hopeless. I could sense Hazel was becoming numb. She took the vile from the doctor regardless of anything she only wanted to save Jack.
The writing style was amazing. Typically I prefer first person but this is my acceptation. It was very fast-paced. I adore the ends of chapters when they are quotes or articles. I wish it was longer! I guess every good book gives me such feelings.
I have my hopes high for its sequel! I definitely will be planning to reread this book around Christmas time! I'm going to be so annoying to anyone who lets me rant about this.
i really enjoyed this book! i loved the main characters and the storyline; an all around great read!! it’s quirky and suspenseful with a dash of romance
