It is an informative book on habit formation and maintaining it. Even though some of the things mentioned in the book are known or probably acquired via experience, it is good to find it all enumerated with followable steps.
The book describes four rules of behavior change: Make it Obvious, Make it Attractive, Make it Easy and Make it Satisfying. The first three rules are required to perform the activity, whereas the fourth is to repeat the behavior.
It helped me realize why some habits evade me. Also, now I can put myself off the hook for not having enough willpower to stick to my goal. ;)
My usual problems have been with 'Making it Easy' and continuing after breaking the habit once. I hope to apply some of the techniques mentioned in the book; let's see how that goes. Fingers crossed!
