Seth Numrich is a phenomenal narrator, one of the best I've experienced.
Enjoyable
A good first person coming of age story combined with crime aspects. Didn’t take long to read, and was engrossing throughout.

This is only my second Stephen King novel and I am kinda kicking myself for not picking one up sooner. I am in love with his style of storytelling. I feel like I missed out on a lot of his earlier works. Well, better late than never, I suppose.
This book is extremely engaging and keeps you hooked from the get-go. I couldn't wait to complete it, and in a strange way, I wanted the story to continue once the book ended as well. This is a horror story, but not in a bone-chilling or skin-crawling way, but it leaves you a little terrified sometimes. It is also funny in places.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator is brilliant. I would definitely recommend this one!

Couldn’t put this down once I started. My first Steven king book and the first book to give me the chills while reading. At first I wasn’t sure, but by page 15 I was addicted.
Most Stephen King is soooo long, but I wanted this to be longer!
This is a shorter King book, part of his Hard Case Crime imprint. It’s enjoyable. He does have certain idiosyncrasies in his writing which feel insincere to me at times—I mentioned this to my sister and she said ‘Thats just Stephen King being Stephen King’. It’s funny to feel like he’s an old friend or something now. He’s probably the only author I’ve read consistently for my entire reading life, and I still really like him and seek him out. I like this pulp fiction iteration and will read the other Hard Case books.
