Finally (!!!) a SK novel that I enjoyed reading without being bored to death. This was an amazing read with a good plot. I was hooked since page one and I loved everything about this book.

What a wonderful book this one. A fusion of crime, thriller, fantasy, young adult and horror all mixed into a heady cocktail. The protagonist is so endearing and funny at all the right times.
The book was hard to put down due to its fast pace and crisp language. Fully recommended.

This was a little different. Nothing scary (to me). We have a child that can "see dead people" and so the story evolves from there.

Many have dropped stars due to a slight twist at the end. Not sure why; sensitivities, morally upright and uptight; who knows. It's Stephen King, not Nicholas Sparks. The sooner you realize this, the better. I don't think it was a twist; I think the whole time was a build-up to Jamie finally getting an answer to a question. I didn't think it would be that answer; but the folks it involved didn't seem to mind so much, so why is anyone appalled?? Oh well.

Anyway; I thought this was a great read with some really impressively written characters (always) by Stephen King.

More like 3.5
Nice, fun story, with a bad plot twist.
The end ruined it for me.

There's nothing like getting back to a Stephen King book after 10+ years. I didn't know I needed this read until I started reading it.
The story really hooked me in. After I reached 50% of the book, I couldn't stop reading it, and the story kept surprising me over and over again. Definitely worth reading this if you're into fantasy/thrillers :)

This book was different from any other book that I have read. So basically, this book is about Jamie, and Jamie can see and communicate with the dead. But only for the first five days after they die. After his 'stepmother' finds out about his gift Jamie, she sees him fit as a tool to help her do her job. I honestly found the book very interesting, and I definitely did get pulled into this book. Mister Stephen King is an amazing writer. The way the characters developed was amazing, I absolutely love Jamie now, and I despise Liz. Also, the way the plot was written was beautiful. Not too much drap around the actual plot which kept me completely interested in the story. I continuously had the feeling that I needed to finish this book and that I wanted to find out more about Jamie's journey. Especially near the part with Professor.
