Corrie ten Boom

4.4 AVERAGE

Incredible. Such a gripping story. I love how much faith Corrie had despite being sent to a concentration camp and losing her sister. She always had hope that things would get better, and even though she lost so much, she still got through.

Nerve-wracking, to say the least.

This book was an eye opening story of a Dutch family who took in those in need of an escape in World War Two! They took in families into their home to care and protect them to make the best of a bad situation! The inevitable happened and Corrie and her family were taken to a concentration camp. This story tells of Corrie’s inspiring survival along with heart breaking loss around her! I cannot wait to go to Amsterdam in April and visit the setting of this book!

How have I missed reading this book before now?

An amazing story of the power of faith and the strength of an individual.

This book is amazing. If you have a single spiritual bone in your body, you need to read this. It's an amazing account of how God works in our lives in both subtle and miraculous ways. Also, the fact that it's about surviving a concentration camp in WWII makes it even more amazing. I finished this book and almost flipped back to the beginning to start over. I had to remind myself that I had things that needed done today, but I will definitely be reading this one again and again. Fabulous book!

I love, love, love this book. I read this book as a child and then just again recently. What an amazing true story of God's sovereignty even in Nazi occupied Holland in WWII. Even if you aren't a Christian this is just a great book....lest we forget and history repeats itself!
