Read this years ago and absolutely loved it.

I have read this book so many times, I've lost count, but this is my first re-read in over 8 years. And it's just as phenomenal as I remembered. I always marvel at the bravery of Corrie and her family, at their ability to love even their Nazi captors. A timely reminder that God is still God, even when the world is falling apart. And that in the end, love always triumphs over hate.

No words. Thank you Lord Jesus for Corrie. Thank you for this message.

This is one of the very best books I've ever read. My heart ached almost the entire time I read it. These were real people. This really happened, and this testimony is one of the most powerful I've ever heard. It's really hard to understand the reality of war time, especially from the perspective of a concentration camp survivor... but this comes close.
Corrie ten Boom has long been heralded as a hero of the faith, and I agree, but her story is infused with humility and grace that give every shred of glory to God, and she takes none. If you're looking for an example of faithfulness, of perseverance, of humility, of obedience to God, of courage in the face of grave danger, of God's miraculous provision and plan... please read this book. Keep your heart open and you will be challenged. Please read this book. My perspective has changed. My desire for God has increased. My desire now is to love people better. Please read this book, and let God transform your heart through the incredible testimony of this family.

Incredible story of Jesus in our lives today

Anybody who believes that Jesus is not directly involved in our lives in this day and age needs to read this book.

Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. A must read.

I bawled like a baby at the end of this book. It was SO inspirational! It really shows the reality of the horror of our world's history. It gave me SO much perspective, because even though Hitler is not alive and reeking havoc, so many things just as horrible if not more are happening around the world, as we speak. A great quote is: "If we ignore history, we are condemned to repeat it." This book is a great example to help notice history and be wary of repeating it. This is a profound example of a great, great beauty discovered through pain: God's love for us.

The author is a Dutch national that survived the infamous Ravensbrück concentration camp. In this book she presents her story, which shows her remarkable strong faith and amazing ability to forgive.
