It’s abstract yet concrete; it’s heavenly yet humane; it’s a play and a poem. Faust is a grandiose work of literature that should be revisited at various points of ones life. It explores such an intriguing concept in such a captivating way and truly proves to being ahead of its time. I found myself enjoying this far more than i had anticipated.

Amazing! Read in two sittings- characters and prose are so much fun and dramatic. Some of the most beautiful lines I have ever read: 

"I am not like the God's. That feeling has rooted fast. 
I am like the worm that works the dust 
And living in dust and by dust fed 
Is crushed and buried by the walker's tread"

Ich weiß nicht. Die zweite Hälfte war relativ spannend, und die Ausgabe, die ich hatte, erhielte viele Erklärungen, die das Lesen erleichterten. Aber an sich fand ich es jetzt nicht so toll. Wahrscheinlich muss ich noch den zweiten Teil lesen.
