The change of scenery breathed new life back into this series. New York City makes a nearly perfect setting for urban fantasy. This entry further opens up the world while bringing in in even more characters (although I wonder about the inclusion of certain characters like Ebenezer Scrooge and Oz based on the timing of when the Grimm brothers brought the characters to the US.) I love how each new character as well as the older characters played a role with some transitioning out of the macro-plot. I also appreciated seeing some (hopefully permanent) growth in Sabrina.

Sabrina is still annoying but the story itself was fun! I’m hoping that Sabrina will eventually stop being such a brat…

I am thoroughly enjoying my reread of this series. Number four didn’t disappoint. The mystery, magic, and mayhem all continue in this novel. I do feel like we make some progress with the mystery surrounding the Grimm parents.

Another aspect of this book I enjoyed was the further development of Puck and Sabrina’s not quite relationship. The only thing stopping this book from being a five star read for me is the lack of Puck in it. I know he needed time to heal and whatnot, but I still missed his shenanigans.

Funny, the new setting providing a big change. Some excellent character development, even more fairy tale characters (will they ever run out?) and some new surprises.
