Took me a while to get into and finish this one. For fans of the series to reach the end.
I think I liked Leaf best in this volume. She had a chance to take herself off home, but she chose to stay and see things through to the end. She befriended a scary monster not by being scarier, but by being kind. All she ever really tried to do was help people.
The same for Arthur -- he carried on to the end, maintaining his humanity despite the great influence from the power of the keys.
It ended basically the way I expected, and I was grateful for the bit of exposition from the Architect at the end regarding her motivation.

Big surprise ending, didn't see it coming at all. Made me rate the series higher than I was thinking I would. Really creative finish, one of those that makes you rethink everything that happened in all the previous books.
Well well well. First off, what the f happened to Pravuil???
I am proud to say that i finished this book on *cue drum roll* Sunday!!!
*clap clap clap*
On a more serious note, the finale was staggering, as a fellow reader put it. It really was. To-ta-lly unexpected. I loved it. I also loved all the plot twists and reveals.
The only thing I didn't like was how Sunday didn't tell Arthur anythig about what he knew the Will would do.
I would love to know what happened after the
But I suppose if Garth Nix started a spinoff from this series, it would perhaps spoil this one?
I don't know but to me he did a good job ending the series. I would give it a 4.5/5.

Now that is what a call a finally book to end a series.
I couldn't put the book down at all, I just couldn't.
With everything going on throughout it I was shocked that it even happened at all.
Arthur managed to find his mum in the end, also get superior Saturdays key and he was determined to save her from lord Sunday which he indeed fell into one of his traps.
Arthur once again lost his friend elephant to a deadly object, he had to get the mariner to open the cage and free part seven of the will which was successful, however in the end both the Piper and Saturday met there doom and sadly so did others.
In the end I did nearly shed a few tears after everyone disappearing and due to the fact that Arthur's mother would sadly not be able to be restored after what the nothing destroyed.
Overall in the end I was happy that the new architect was restoring the house again, however what had me thinking was I wonder how Arthur and leaf are doing back in the second realm.
All I can say is another five star read by garth nix.

I just can't even, this series is beautiful and the world created within it is phenomenal. Like seriously mind blowing. This series conclusion I think is so perfectly done, bittersweet I feel and so well done. One of my favourite series of all time without a doubt.
