I didn’t love the whole twins hate each other thing and the reasoning was honestly underwhelming. The thing that kind of saved this book was the epilogue. Fish is the bestest boy

I read this because there was a piece in the New York Times listing the best Hilderbrand books, and they were quickly available from the library; this is #2 of 4 that I reserved. It's a story of 39-year-old twins separated by hurts, one on Nantucket, one on Martha's Vineyard, each living into the script of their lives (one a mildly scandalous cut-up, the other a messy but reasonably successful working mom). Circumstances leads each to take time on the other's island, where they encounter people who know the other sister, and have unlikely relationships, and heal some wounds, and and and. Entertaining reading for a nice afternoon on the porch.
