Received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a honest review. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In the beginning it felt like I’ve read this book before, it reminded me too much of Behind Closed Doors by B.A Paris. But then it took on a life of its own and I can’t say that I particularly liked the book. It’s a very quick read though. I really hated Chloe’s inner thoughts in the beginning, I hated Dan who always had to say “I love you so much babe” all the time, I both loved and hated gran, and I wanted to smack Chloe’s siblings. As someone said, if you can get through the first 3/4, the last 1/4 is kinda okay. I would not have finished this if I didn’t have to review it. I will admit to laughing out loud at the ending (not the epilogue)
This is an okay book if you’re looking for something quick (I read it in under 2 hours)

I've been enjoying Rona Halsall's books this past year, but I was expecting a little bit more from THE HONEYMOON. It's definitely a thriller, but I think I wanted something a little more sinister. There was a lot going on, but some things just didn't feel like enough and others felt too over-the-top.

I guess I don't really have a ton to say about this one. It was an easy read but I just never really felt riveted.

Chloe has had a series of bad relationships, and is in no rush to find another one. But when she met Dan that all changed. With a whirlwind romance that leads into a quick wedding Chloe has no doubts that she married the one. That is until they leave for their honeymoon. Finding out that Dan has not booked the honeymoon Chloe has so desperately wanted she soon discovers that Dan is lying about many things. However, Chloe has her own secret that has haunted her. She must deal with her demons before she can deal with Dan’s. This might be harder than she thought when she finds out that he has manipulated her and everyone around them. Can she find out the truth and get her life back before she loses it?
Overall rating 4/5
This is definitely fit for a Lifetime movie. I thought I had it all figured out in the beginning but was surprised by the many twists and turns. Makes one wonder what you would do in a situation if the person you are supposed to trust the most turns out to be the person you should protect yourself from.

*Thank you to Rona Halsall, Naomi Frederick, Bookouture Audio, and Netgalley for the audio copy. I am freely leaving my honest review.

Well this has gripped me so much I couldn’t put it down. My first read by Rona Halsall- definitely not my last. This is a book which has made me feel uneasy but in a good way- I’ve been desperate to know how it would play out. This is a whirlwind romance which truly shows you shouldn’t rush relationships. Definitely one I’d recommend- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a great thriller. A perfect example of why you shouldn't trust anyone lol jk. The emotional turmoil of the fmc keeps you on edge. Like everyone, she has to find the truth in herself in order to save herself. This book will have you in a tangle right along with the fmc, not knowing where to run or what to believe.
mysterious slow-paced

Chloe was annoying & naïve, and the constant back-and-forth internal monologue got really old. When the reveals came, I had a lot of “that was it?” about things. And found Chloe‘s inclination to call herself a murderer, wrestling with what happened, annoying. The story was a lot of slow buildup, but it read pretty fast.
