This is a heart wrenching read about Jessa and Jack. This is a suspenseful and thriller read. This story has a plot that changes everything as this story gets intense and dark.

So I was really hyped up reading the beginning of the story. I love romantic suspense and this one just hit the spot. There is drama, mystery, secrets, the whole shebang. There were lovable sidecharacters with their own personalities. I cried, and there were twists I did NOT see coming. The holy grail for me to give a book 5*. So why didn't I?

Because of (in hindsight) uncharacteristic jackassery from the MMC.

Jack finds out Jenna is still alive. He is aware he stopped looking and she didn't. He is told she was probably assaulted for 6 days. First order of business: shove his finger up her coochie. WHY? Don't you at least want to talk to the woman you pined over for a decade?

Then the following happens after the finger in coochie moment:

'This conversation isn't hers to lead. I've suffered for years without her, and this is my time' Remember: HE GAVE UP AND SHE DIDN'T.

This doesn't mean I hated the MMC. He was actually really cute so this all felt like a different person.

Small spoiler ahead:

It is mentioned Grizz doesn't want to say why he's desperately looking for Dana. I really hope the reason isn't a surprise pregnancy, that would put me off the rest of the series.

Everything a Romantic Suspense book should be and more. Luna Kayne keeps the tension pulled tight throughout the book, only occasionally give you a moment to breathe. The characters are wonderful and deep, showing the reader many different sides to themselves. Like any good rollercoaster, just when you think the ride is slowing down and almost over, you get a final surprising jolt at the end. Awesome book.

The story was fantastic! It was a good amount of story, action, suspense and steamy parts.

Jack thought he would never see Jessa again and then they go to a farm house on a lead and things change…

I love Luna’s writing and can’t wait for book 2!

Logan ruined this whole book for me. And he wasn't even the hero. He was a side character whose attitude I simply didn't appreciate.

There's a way to go about getting what is needed without abusing an already suffering victim. I also don't appreciate the overall response to his actions.
