It's been a few months since I read Under Your Scars, and I was finally ready to come back and read this book.  It was short, but still just as heartbreaking as the first book.

I did enjoy that we got closure with Caroline, and a peak into what her life is like without Christian and Elina in it - which it's pretty heartbreaking to say the least. I am not surprised in the least that Elina's brother Travis hate's Christian and blames him for everything - even though it was the actions of his father that caused this snowball effect.

In the end, we do get to see a happy ending for Caroline, which makes me so happy, because if anyone left alive deserves something happy and good, it's her.

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE

I waited for the audio. And it was like someone took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears... and at the same time, somebody else is hitting my soul in the crotch with a frozen sledgehammer... and then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bone. (Iykyk)
Once again, Lee Daniels and Joe Arden were phenomenal. Lee Daniels got me like, having feels I haven't felt in a long time.

When I finished Under Your Scars, I had stayed up until 3am to finish and then I just stared at the wall because I didn't know what to do. Now, I'm like, sitting here all flustered with feelings and my cat jumped on my lap because I think he can tell I'm upset. I wish I was a crier because I'd probably feel better.

The bunny. That was the one. And pancakes. Jesus the heart in my chest cracked in pieces and it hurts. Physically hurts.

I'm glad this book is out there. It is a sense of peace and closure. But it also proves that the pain never goes away and the heart doesn't really heal.

Well this must made me very fucking sad. I’m still not over the ending of the first book.

This is the closure i needed to make sure she was ok and she at least understood what happened
