This was a well written young adult romance about hockey and all the challenges that it comes with, but also about living and having to make big choices in front of you, regardless of a legacy

This was a good one, I can definitely see it being made into a Netflix movie! Hockey and gay romance with some depression and mental health issues thrown in. The author did a good job of incorporating snapchat, texts, group chats, video calls, instagram, and all the other things into this story. Won a Printz honor this year, and I agree, think it deserved it.

This took me a bit to get into but I ended up enjoying it so much. A sweet frenemies to lovers hockey romance with a great message of mental health and depression. I wish we had more scenes with the family, but I had a good time with it either way. I also love that the protagonist has like 5 sisters.

I don't know what it is about hockey stories, but I never seem to find one I don't like. (I probably shouldn't say that, I might jinx myself). Anyway, this was really nice, I loved the atmosphere enough that I kind of wish it was longer than it was. I like that there was exploration of mental health and sexuality and great family interaction in it and you can never go wrong with rivals to lovers when it's done well and I think this written really well.

Also, I don't know why, but any story that mentions fanfic just gives me the warm fuzzies and always makes me hope that the author was/is a ff writer; makes one feel a little closer to them in some way--that might be silly, but whatever. It is what it is.

No, no me gustó. Sí, Heated Rivalry wannabe.

WOWEE I LOVED THIS
exactly the silly heartwarming thing i needed rn. college apps are cooking my brain and this was like cold water <3

I really enjoyed this. Enjoyed it enough to finish it in one sitting, actually. I thought some of the supporting characters were a little flat, and the final quarter of the book could have breathed and enjoyed some moments instead of rushing towards an ending that seemed increasingly telegraphed. I do wish it had been around when I was younger, and God knows there should be more Queer Hockey books.

A sweet enemies to lovers story set in the hockey world. Grazieadei also touches on depression/mental illness. Lots of diverse characters and families. An overall great book that was a joy to listen to.
