What a fun journey getting to know Kelly Bishop aka Emily Gilmore. She's way more than just the third Gilmore girl in my head now. Beyond all her other roles. (I didn't even know she was originally a dancer and I can totally see it in Emily)! 

A memoir narrated by anyone other than the subject themselves would definitely be doing the subject and listener a disservice. Kelly Bishop's personality is intoxicating and shined throughout this audiobook. I'd love to meet her in person.

I won this book as part of a giveaway from Simon & Schuster hosted by Goodreads. I am so glad I won!! What a poignant, smart, sweet, short-and-to-the-point novel. I had no idea about Kelly’s background before she came to be Emily Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. It was such an interesting read. Do yourself a service and pick up this book!

Great book that helped pull me out of a reading slump. I wasn’t a huge fan of all of the political commentary but I also understand that it is important to her so that is why it was included. I do feel like the quality dropped off a bit in the last third of the book but overall delightful.
