Loved how the main characters were 3 dimensional. They were very similar however much more complex then you originally thought. I thought that it would be the usual damsel in distress, boy saves girl, fake boyfriend, family finds out fiasco, then they have a big fallout and then everything is perfect and it wasn't. Yes the main couple had issues but the story wasn't surrounding itself on that. After reading several rom-coms this year that were all great books I needed a break. Also being a Latina, and Cuban from Miami, I loved how it included actual Cuban words, traditions and foods in the book and didn't just gloss over it. Oliveras, did a great job on making that an integral part of the book because us Cubans make our culture an integral part of our lives. This was an easy beach/vacation read but also had substance.
