This Rom Com did not disappoint! It had the humor, the romance, and the unlikely circumstances. From the beginning I was hooked!

The story starts out with the main characters meeting, one's a tourist and one's a local of the Keys. They end up deciding to pretend they're dating to help the girl, Sara, out on her family vacation.

Not only does the plot keep things interesting, but the sights they visit make me want to go there myself! Which is saying a lot considering I've grown up in Northwest Florida around beaches.

One of my favorite things, though, was that the author had bilingual characters. Whenever they would speak a phrase in Spanish, she would translate it through either their responses or thought process. It was the most tasteful way, at least in my opinion, to be able to use such a beautiful language without leaving some people in the dark as to what was being said.

The one thing I didn't like was that there was a scene in the book that I had to skip over. ( I don't read scenes because of personal convictions). I never like having to skip any part of a book. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Overall definitely an awesome book! The story was really well done and I definitely would recommend this author!

Key West was the perfect escape in my quarantine reading !
The Vance family heads to Key West for a family getaway to celebrate their mother's cancer treatments being finished. Upon arrival, Sara's boyfriend bales on her and tells her he isn't coming. She asks a local firefighter, who has just found himself with a week of unplanned time off, to fill the role. As they spend time together, it turns into more than an act.
I enjoyed the first book in this "Keys to Love" series by Priscilla Oliveras.
I received an advanced reader copy via NetGalley.

Priscilla Oliveras won my heart with this one. I will say that the fact that these two fell in love in a week is completely stupid, but when you ignore that part and appreciate the story, everything turns to pink colors again. It is so adorable picturing him as described, a Hispanic Vin Diesel lookalike with a big heart and a soft spot for helping people in need. This book touches on sensitive subjects such as eating disorders and how it is described how the female lead feels regarding her family and how they used to treat her, it’s a little heartbreaking. Everyone is dealing with their own issues and no one can be held accountable for how they used to project their feelings. I am looking forward to reading the next installment in this series.
