I knew little to nothing about Agnew in regards to him as a person or his politics but this definitely provided me with more than enough information. It also reminded me of a more recent individual that used his position to shield himself from prosecution in the same way. Guess it really proves that nothing is every really new.

At the half way point and it’s taken me four months to get here. Interesting history but at this point I can summarize for you: Spiro Agnew was a bigger crook than Nixon and perhaps this is why the Nixon quote “I am not a crook” is both fascinating and truth… by comparison he was in fact not a crook. Meanwhile this book is in the DNF pile for me

Puts lying politicians in perspective. A quick easy read that made me search for other books about politics in the 1970's.

Well, this is a compelling piece of history I knew nothing about. Also, I love Rachel Maddow. So.

If we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it.
