Read the 2nd book because I had to find out what happened. Entertaining, not an "allnighter: and again the cover is stunning.

'His midnight-blue hair was artfully pushed off of his angular face, and his grey eyes held the power of thunderstorms. He was easily the most beautiful nightmare Kierse had ever seen.'

The Robin on the Oak Throne by K.A. Linde was an unexpectedly wonderful second book in the Oak & Holly Cycle series. The spice was incredible compared to the first book, and the heists and scheming were just as captivating. The last chapter had me crying, and the last interlude has me wanting the third book so much it hurts, 2026 has never seemed so far away than when I got to the last page of this book. I did not expect to love this series as much as I do and can see a re-read of these in the future for sure.

I have mixed feelings about this series. There’s a great centralized story between Kierse, Graves, and Lorcan that is interesting. However, there is so much extra unnecessary fluff added to the story. I was actually bored at some points. I will read the next one, but I hope this is a trilogy and nothing more.

What a wild sequel!

Kierse & Graves are BACK for another heist that may be the most chaotic yet. We find out so much more about Kierse and her magic - and also about Graves and his entourage of people down for a heist!

I loved all the trouble and choas the group got into. So many story lines made me anxious and worried for sure. The last 50 pages? Insanity and I have no idea how I am supposed to wait till next year to find out that happens next!
