Reading this in September 2025 is....well, I'm a bit speechless. This is stated to be satirical however, it feels almost biographical with the current state of affairs. I am happy to have read it. I am disturbed by the accuracy at which cycles are repeating. I highly recommend this one if you have not read it or haven't read it in the last 10 years.

This was surprisingly good and absolutely horrifying at the same time. I had such a grand time with the book and then the ending came and once more hope seemed to fold in on itself. These old dystopian books, the warnings against repeating the mistakes of the past, the show of how a good thing can circle back into a bad thing if lessons aren't applied, is the specially now almost harrowing.
It was a very good book. It was fun and light-hearted at times. It didn't feel scary when I read it. And then I sat with it's metaphors. I'm not good at putting things into words. That's why I'm not an author. But I think it's a good book and people should read it.
